Chapter 3. A basic WebSEAL scenario
Our earlier discussion of Access Manager has been helpful in describing the
basic elements of architecture for deployment. At this point, we will apply those
guidelines to a simple Web scenario for an example organization with a typical
set of requirements.
In our discussion we will deliberately avoid certain issues, including availability
considerations and specific issues relating to application integration. These
areas are discussed in later chapters.
Also, while host machine configuration and capacity is touched on in this chapter,
we deliberately avoid providing much in the way of specifics. This is because
without appropriate capacity planning activities, which consider simulated/real
loads of the actual application, it can be difficult to make accurate
determinations.
