Best practices to follow

Once we plan to implement IPA in our organization, there are a few important best practices to note while implementing:

  • Group-based approach: We should always go for a group-based approach. This applies to both users and servers. It is basically a three-step approach that is illustrated in the following table.
  • Users to group mapping: In this stage, we add the assigned individual users to user group. Any new users who join the organization should be added to user group. The advantage of this approach is that any policy that we apply to a user group will be associated with all the users within that group.
