An enterprise can be a single enterprise, an extended enterprise, or a part of a larger enterprise, as it has been shown that the scope of enterprises has grown dramatically. An enterprise has the mission, goals, and objectives that allow it to provide an output such as a product or a service. This broad definition applies also to virtual enterprises.
