Executive Overview
The purpose of integration is almost always to support improving a business process to increase business efficiency. Process-level integration defines the interactions among systems through business workflow definitions. The in structions for the integration are defined at the business-process level rather than the technical-interface level. Although a technical integration infrastructure is still a necessity to implement process integration, the processes themselves are technology independent. This enables change to be made quickly and easily, increasing business agility.
