As we have now seen, JMS defines an API for which software vendors implement support in a JMS provider. JMS client applications subsequently interact with the JMS provider via the JMS API. We have examined in detail the JMS API and its use and are now ready to examine a vendor-specific implementation of the JMS provider, specifically that provided by IBM.
