5. Entity Resolution Systems
Introduction
This chapter discusses three commercial ER systems that demonstrate how some of the features and functions discussed in the previous chapters have been implemented in real applications. The three discussed here are only offered as examples and not a comprehensive survey, evaluation, or endorsement of any one of the many commercial systems currently available.
The first example is a basic merge-purge process of customer references performed on a single-user desktop system.
