Agreement Pattern– A rule that defines which corresponding identity attributes between two entity references must have values that are the same (or approximately the same) and those that can have different values.
Approximate Matching– A method or algorithm for measuring the degree of similarity between two attribute values. The term is sometimes used to describe the overall similarity between two entity references.
Approximate Semantic Matching– An approximate matching technique between two words or phrases where the degree of similarity is based on the closeness in meaning of the words.
Approximate String Matching (ASM)– A method or algorithm for measuring the degree of similarity between two character strings.
