In the summer of 2020, a comedic illustration featuring the anti-hero Deadpool made the rounds of various social media outlets, including Facebook. In the image, a caricature of the DC character provides a Pubic Service Announcement about why it is necessary for male cosplayers to wear a dance belt to reign in their baloney ponies, a euphemism for hiding male genitalia in form-fitting costumes (Figure 4.1).
