ESG investing-organizations having direct impact
Abstract
This chapter considers some examples of charities, organizations which are often the recipients of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) targeted funds. They are the “tip of the spear” in “making a difference.” These are enterprises that generate direct social or environmental benefits and can have the most focused impact on ESG issues. Donations or other gifts to these organizations are made with the intention of generating positive, measurable social, and environmental impact. Generating a financial return, if any, is a secondary objective at best.
