Michael Hyatt, author of Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World, says, “Without a platform—something that enables you to get seen and heard—you don’t have a chance. Having an awesome product, an outstanding service, or a compelling cause is no longer enough.”
Of course, your content platform can be built a number of different ways: as a website, blog, Twitter presence, Facebook page, a print book, an e-newsletter, and more. Although some may disagree with me, I believe there is one true way to build your platform with content: by owning it.
