Chapter 1. Using Word to write EPUB
Microsoft Word is the most popular word processor in the world so it’s fortunate that you can use Word files as the basis for generating an ebook in EPUB format. Unfortunately, EPUB can’t recognize Word directly, so you’ll have to save your documents in HTML format, and then adjust the files so that EPUB can use them. I’ll show you the whole process in this chapter, particularly how to:
• Style your Word document
• Save Word files as HTML
• Prepare your Word-generated HTML files for EPUB
