Abstract
Reaching an acceptable level of accommodation between the demands of the workplace and their private lives is a challenge for both women and men across all science, technology, engineering, and mathematics sectors. Increasingly, individuals will seek out those workplaces that allow them to juggle their career interests and life responsibilities. Interventions to solve these problems include family-friendly policies, mentoring, and modifying workplace climates perceived as unfriendly to women.
