An image is displayed on a web page by referencing the JPEG, GIF (Graphics Interchange Format), or PNG file directly. In contrast, to display an image on an OLED screen or an LCD screen, the image JPEG, GIF, or PNG file is converted to a file containing the image data, with the file format dependent on the display device.
