Chapter 3. The Top-Down Organization: Learning That It’s Not So Simple
This chapter explores a range of organizational contexts that I believe are vital to understand if leaders are to succeed. Each of the chapters presents a different kind of context and describes how things get done in that context and the leadership style that will be most effective in it. In Chapter 1, “Leadership Principles: The Basis of Successful Leadership,” I presented a set of management principles that I believe apply to every context I discuss in the book.
