Appendix B. Apps for Designers

You can’t be the best carpenter if you don’t have the best tools. Luckily, it doesn’t take much effort to assemble a strong toolbox. Throughout this book, a handful of apps have been mentioned in passing, but this appendix is a quick reference of the ones that are more than worthwhile to look at when building your own designs.

Note that some of these tools are only available on OS X; but if you’re on Windows, fear not. Many of these apps are available for that platform, or other apps exist that can perform similar tasks.
