18Sculpting the Guardian’s Body

Body Blocking Stage 1

For the main character in our scene we are going to use the Guardian head we have already sculpted to a high resolution from a sphere and the Guardian body base mesh made in Chapter 6, “ZSpheres.” So with the head already sculpted, it is now time to move on to the body itself. First let me outline a few concepts about how we are going to approach this part. When you made the base mesh from ZSpheres in Chapter 6, it produced a base mesh with two subdivision levels. The lowest level of these (level 1) has a polygon count of 280.
