The Guardian’s Belt and Loincloth

The sculpting of the belt and loincloth should be fairly easy as they are not complex sculpting jobs. We add these items to complement the character and add some visual interest. First, we’ll sculpt the belt, showing how to use masks to our advantage. We start with a base mesh made by retopologizing the body model and then exporting it to Silo to add some thickness to it. We could use the mesh extract feature in ZBrush, but this could leave us with a more polygon-heavy model than we need for use with a normal map.
