The importance of sustainability cannot be over emphasised. The world is at an inflection point between continuing with chasing growth at any cost or changing direction to tread more lightly on the planet. Get it right, and the future is bright. Get it wrong, and there may be no way back, as the economy collapses and society disintegrates. Such doom and gloom is warranted because this the harsh reality of staying the current course. When a business faces bankruptcy, it changes direction. This is what the world must do and quickly.
