Communication between an organisation and its stakeholders is critical to the effective working of an OHSMS. Workers not knowing (or not having been communicated with) about a hazard could lead to serious OH&S consequences. Likewise, ignorance about OH&S procedures, concerns of workers, regulatory requirements or a lack of communication about a machine under maintenance could cause operational delays and serious OH&S risks.
