18.1 General (ISO 45001, Clause 10.1)

Continual improvement of the OHSMS is the fourth component of the PDCA cycle. It is not only a very important aspect of the system but also a mandatory requirement.

Management review is an excellent opportunity to consider all those aspects and opportunities where continual improvement may be possible. This is a platform where the results from analysis and evaluation of OH&S performance, results of compliance, audits and corrective actions are formally considered and decisions taken for continual improvement.
