Although you can build entirely blockchain-based applications, it is far more likely that your applications will be a combination of traditional and blockchain components. You learn in Chapter 3 that some use cases lend themselves well to blockchain apps but others do not. In this book, we chose to highlight one use case, supply chain, because blockchain offers clear advantages over traditional methods. However, even a comprehensive supply chain application will likely run partially as a traditional application and partially on the blockchain.
