Bibliography
This book is full of other books, woven with other writings and readings. It is also made of encounters, of conversations. Of selves and of others. How to honor them? They have given me so much. Questions, exhortations, encouragements, criticisms, suggestions, impressions, memories, desires, perplexities, references, books, articles, readings, histories, inspiration. Conversations by the sides of fires, in the wings and margins of gatherings, at the bottoms of caves, in the middles of nights. Under the trees, under the gildings, under the banners. Not just personal communications, but open-ended conversations. Some have even read different versions of the book, even wildly preliminary versions. I am particularly grateful to each and every one of them.
