CHAPTER 3: THE REGULATION
The GDPR was adopted by the EU Council and Parliament in April 2016, and took effect in every EU member state in May 2018. The GDPR is a long document, setting out requirements for organisations and for Member States, and making provision for an EU Data Protection Board. This chapter aims to provide a quick overview of the key points that you need to be aware of in order to comply.
