Assessing for Collection Diversity

Abstract

Demand driven acquisitions (DDA) programs are controlled by the user population, so they have a large role to play in supporting diversity. Public libraries have always focused on serving diverse populations, but the push towards inclusivity in higher education means that this is essential for academic libraries as well. DDA allows libraries, even on limited budgets, to provide access to a wider range of materials at different learning levels, in more languages, and many formats.
