Use this appendix to learn how to operate and configure your copy of Microsoft Excel for use with this book. This appendix also reviews the conventions used in the book to describe various spreadsheet user operations.
A.S1 Spreadsheet Operation Conventions
The spreadsheet operation instructions in this book use a standard vocabulary to describe keystroke and mouse (pointer) operations. Keys are always named by their legends. For example, the instruction “press Enter” means to press the key with the legend Enter.
