No longer do you need to have random thoughts scattered around your brain or colorful sticky notes all over your monitor and desk. To better manage your life, you can take advantage of Evernote’s electronic notebooks and notes.

In this chapter, I show you how to create your first notebook and note. Also, because you can install Evernote on multiple devices, I show you several options for getting help, whenever and wherever you need it.

Signing In to Evernote

Before you can do anything in Evernote, you need to create an account and sign in. If you haven’t already created an account, go to Chapter 2.

To sign in to your Evernote account, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to www.evernote.com.

If you haven’t signed in to Evernote on this computer and asked Evernote to keep you signed in, the Evernote home screen appears (see Figure 3-1).

2. In the top-right corner, click Sign In.

You’re invited to sign in to Evernote (see Figure 3-2).
