Workplace and Executive Coaching: A Bibliography from the Scholarly Business Literature

THIS CHAPTER PRESENTS a bibliography on workplace and executive coaching which is drawn from the scholarly business literature databases. Books, book reviews and non-scholarly articles, magazines, or publications were excluded. The inclusion of this bibliography is intended to be an aid for teachers, researchers, practitioners, and students of coaching. This bibliography does not include citations from the psychology, medical, or education databases. The business literature was selected for inclusion in this book as it is the domain most pertinent to executive coaching, which is the focus of this book’s case studies.
This bibliography is not a definitive overview of the literature on coaching. Readers are referred to the following databases; PsycINFO for psychology-related literature on coaching and to find doctoral dissertations on coaching; Medline for health-related coaching; ERIC for coaching related to education. In addition, there are a number of coaching-focused journals that may not be indexed in the academic databases. These include the International Coaching Psychology Review, published jointly by the Australian and British Psychological Societies (APS and BPS), and the International Journal of Evidence-based Coaching and Mentoring, published by Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, UK.
