Exchange Online and Skype for Business Online are the primary communications tools available to Office 365 subscribers. Exchange Online includes many of the features of an on-premises Exchange 2013 deployment, and administrators of Exchange Online need to perform many of the same tasks, including managing email addresses, configuring mailbox permissions, managing resource and shared mailboxes, as well as configuring retention policies and archives.
