This chapter contains a single objective: monitor servers. The vast majority of this topic is probably already familiar to you: Data Collector Sets, event forwarding and collection, alerts, performance counters, and network monitoring. None of these features has changed in any significant way since Windows Server 2008. That’s not to say you shouldn’t brush up on these topics if you don’t feel confident about them.
