Objective 2.1: Apply the user interface design for a web application
The first item users see in a web application is the interface, which is composed mainly of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Updates to the HTML and CSS specifications have been integral to the growing popularity of web applications. Designing an interface using proper features and styles can make a web application function correctly without requiring additional resources. Developers must be aware of the availability of their preferred tool sets and know when to use the right tools to achieve a proper UI as required by the business specifications or logic of the application.
