Chapter 11. Implement identity federation and access solutions
In this chapter, we discuss the identify management solutions that are provided with Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS). AD FS can also be combined with the Remote Access server role, which can be used to enable a Web Application Proxy (WAP). AD FS can be used to manage federated environments, and enable multi-factor authentication for organizations. Used together with a WAP, clients can be preauthenticated by an application or service before being directed to the application server.
