Excel provides several different functions that are used to perform statistical calculations. These functions are covered in the remaining portion of this chapter in alphabetical order, but they are categorized as follows:

Finding an average value:

 AVEDEV (average of deviations between values) AVERAGE (average of numeric values) AVERAGEA (average of numeric, logical, and text values)

Working with distributions:
