37. Excel Web App and Other Ways to Share Workbooks
When the precursor to the Excel Web App debuted, there was a long list of things that the Excel client could do and the Excel Web App could not do. Over time, that list has gotten shorter. And now, there are things the Excel Web App can do that the Excel client will never do.
In the original Excel Services, there was a long laundry list of things that would not work in the browser. Excel in the web was just trying to catch up with things that regular Excel could do (see Figure 37.1).
