Session Object
The Session object is the top-level, or main, object of the CDO library. It is the first object you create, and it provides (through its methods and properties) the link to all other objects you need to use. The Session object's position in the object model means that you are likely to use it in every CDO program you create; however, it also means that the code you write with it is likely to perform a similar set of actions every time.
