The Base Products
Every great structure is always set upon an appropriately supportive foundation. Let's take a closer look at the pieces you can use to build a collaborative foundation. We will observe each component at a very high level so that you have a basic understanding of the functionality each component provides, as well as how each technology fits into an overall collaborative solution. Please note that I am not going to cover every aspect of every product. In fact, I will simply define the functionality that you, as collaborative architects and developers, can call upon to design and implement your solution.
Table 3.1 is a summary of the products and technologies that will be covered in this chapter.
