CHAPTER 3

Storage & Archiving

images

Prime Minister Gordon Brown and his family in No 10 Downing St shortly before handing in his resignation. One of a series of pictures taken behind the scenes during the British 2010 election campaign. The pictures have historic significance as being the first to show the inside of Downing St on the day a UK government changes. It is a news picture aimed at the following day’s paper and websites. Although it was not taken primarily with a thought to exhibition if properly stored (something which many newspapers do not do) it is likely to be of interest to exhibition curators in the future.
