In this section, you'll learn how to configure GeoServer's permission settings for authentication. First, you'll learn how to set up users, roles, and groups for GeoServer. Next, you'll learn about authentication providers to configure the way that users are authenticated to GeoServer. Finally, you'll learn about data and using service-level security to limit access to sensitive actions and resources.
