Debriefing Stakeholders

Exploration does not lend itself to tidy status reports with test execution statistics. Counts of charters or test sessions cannot become the basis for pass/fail metrics because charters and sessions never pass or fail.

Yet you need some mechanism to report on progress. Your stakeholders have an interest in the information you’re finding. Management has an interest in how you’re spending your time. As a result, people often wonder how to report on the status of exploratory testing.

Reporting in the Daily Standup
