LIVE SPORTS: INTO THE ACTION
Live sports are arguably the most difficult of any content to film in 3D. Unlike other live events such as concerts or ballet, the fast movement and random nature of the action can’t be rehearsed, although patterns in play can assist planning.
The approach to filming athletic competition is one that is still evolving—and each individual sport requires its own unique approach—but something that those involved at this early stage agree on is its potential to involve audiences in a way far greater than one can with a 2D experience.
