Safety: Protecting Yourself and Your Digital Imaging Equipment
While the digital practice of photography does not expose an imagemaker to the hazardous chemicals or fumes of the analog darkroom, one should be aware of the possible health effects connected to working regularly with a computer. Just as in a darkroom, great care should be taken when printing, which we look at first. However, the biggest concern for long-term health effects may lie in the less obvious activity of spending extended periods in front of a computer screen. Discussion of these issues forms the body of this appendix.
