Picking the Right Shooting Mode for the Job

The shooting mode dial is kind of where the rubber meets the road. It’s where you choose how to use the exposure information from the camera’s meter, selecting a mode that will let you make quick decisions about some of the more aesthetic parts of your image. The different shooting modes allow you to influence two of the most important factors in taking great photographs: aperture and shutter speed.
