So far, there might be a slight confusion between AZ and host aggregate terminologies. Using host aggregate, it is possible to group compute nodes based on granular specifications and hardware profile categories. The latter criteria is defined on metadata, which describes each compute node, including information regarding the following:
- Disk and data storage type
- Network speed
- CPU speed and frequency
- Hypervisor capabilities
