We open this chapter by saying: if the thought of public speaking terrifies you, you are in good company! We can assure you with all certainty that never in a million years did we see ourselves becoming public speakers in our profession. We can both remember years ago being asked to stand up in front of a staff meeting and share what we had learned at a training that we'd attended. It was the most uncomfortable thing! It was not something we really enjoyed, but would do because we promised we would if we were allowed to go to that training.
