Chapter 9. Visionate: Establishing the Collective Vision

The Visionate cycle consists of two interacting components: (1) the sponsor's vision of the project and (2) the collective vision of the project. Once you have established a good understanding of the sponsor's vision, which should be the result of the second sponsor meeting, you need to begin laying the groundwork for translating it into a collective vision. The focus here is still on Business Question 1: Who needs what and why? Once the answer is expressed in the form of the collective vision, you can then move to the Speculate cycle where implementation planning takes place.
