Chapter 15
Ten Great Games, Apps, and Websites
In This Chapter
- Web apps
- Games
- Mobile apps
As I discuss in Chapter 14, apps use Facebook information to provide some sort of service to you. That might be the capability to battle your friends in a game of chess or poker or it might be the capability to vote up content on another website. Here are ten apps that are popular among my friends or among Facebook users. You might want to check them out, too.
To find these apps, you can type their names into the Search box in the big blue bar on top of any Facebook page. Click the correct search result when it comes up to be taken to the app's Page in the App Center. From there, you can learn more and find instructions for beginning to use the app.
Spotify
Spotify is a music service you can actually download to use on your computer and on your mobile phone. Regardless whether you use the Spotify app on Facebook, you can use Spotify to build playlists, listen to specific songs or artists, and follow music from your favorite artists.
When you start using the Spotify app on Facebook, you can enjoy even more features of Spotify. When you listen to songs or create playlists on Spotify, this information is shown to your friends on Facebook. When your friends look at the Music view of News Feed they can see what you've been listening to, click Play, and start listening to the same song right away. It's a great way to discover new music and share the joy of music with your friends.
