Now that you’ve read the first chapter and learned what Facebook is all about, it’s time to sign up to start using the site. What does that entail?

Here are two nice things about using Facebook: It’s easy, and it’s free. That’s right, even though you have to create an account, it’s a free account; you never pay Facebook anything to use the site. That’s because Facebook, like most websites these days, is totally advertiser supported. So you see some ads after you get on the site, but you aren’t out a single penny.
