Just as an architect wouldn’t dream of showing up at a construction site without a well-thought-out design, facilitators need to create detailed blueprints for each discussion.
In fact, one of the most important contributions that facilitators make is to create meeting designs that address specific needs. Having the right process design is just as important to the success of any meeting as the ability to manage the interpersonal dynamics.
