Facilitating for Impact
We all know the importance of measuring the impact of training. But besides a few questions on a survey or a smile sheet to determine how learners feel about a program, how are we really measuring our impact as facilitators? How do we identify moments of impact when they occur and, perhaps more important, how do we create more of them?
The impact we have on an individual as well as a group of learners involves a little awareness and change rolled together into one: the awareness of seeing an idea or a concept in a different way, and the willingness or motivation to change their behavior based on that awareness.
