Performance Improvement

Performance is why facilitators are called on to help our teams and organizations, and performance is how we prove that our efforts have made an impact. Performance stimulates a training request, is a driver of outcomes and objectives in course design, and is a key marker of training effectiveness both inside and outside the learning space. ATD’s 2021 State of the Industry research report, which highlights talent development benchmarks and trends, revealed that the average organization had a direct learning expenditure of $1,267 per employee in 2020 (ATD 2021a). It’s incumbent on facilitators to ensure that spending leads to improved performance through their training delivery.
