Edmond P. Rondeau

Ed Rondeau is the stateside initiator, organizer, and co-editor for this publication, has, as an educated architect from the Georgia Institute of Technology (GA Tech), Atlanta, GA, USA, and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), had very early contact with FM development. He served the IFMA Association under different functions since 1983 nationally and has experience as an instructor for over three decades as teacher and consultant in the Americas, Asia, Australia, and Europe.

His involvement with FM began in 1981 when he was a Construction Manager with the Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta, GA, USA, and obtained a Master of Business Administration in Real Estate from Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA, in 1982. In the same year he became one of the co-founders of the IFMA Atlanta, GA, chapter. He was President of the Chapter in 1983 and was asked to be an IFMA Regional Vice President/Member of the IFMA Board of Directors.

He was elected as the 1987/1988 IFMA President, and in this leadership position he initiated meetings with other groups forming and met FM associations, including the Japan Facility Management Association (JFMA) in the USA and later in Japan in 1987.
